They do best when they get 4 or more hours of direct sunlight a day. The night temp should be 65-70 deg F. Daytime: 75-85 is ideal. The leaves drop off in a draft especially in winter. Keep soil barely moist at all times--not wet. Fert with a 5-10-5 in March and May and not for the rest of the year. All-purpose potting soil is fine.
Reply:I've had my Croton for 20 years. Usually if mine is looking limp it's because it needs a drink. It might be because of a draft. Crotons hate drafts to include from the furnace. Make sure there's no air blowing on it.
Reply:Repot it into a larger pot with fresh potting soil. It may be root bound.

Reply:wipe off leaves with soapy water may be dusty or have bugs. this will take care of both.
