Aggghh, plant advice needed for my croton.?

My croton house plant is looking not so good. I water it with Miracle Grow nutrient about ever 2 weeks. It is in a big pot. It used to look all leafy but now it is looking a sadder version of it's former self. It is losing leaves even green looking leaves not just dead ones. Is this just seasonal? It looked fine this summer.

I keep it by a west facing window sill it has been there for about 18 months or more.

What is going on?

Aggghh, plant advice needed for my croton.?
My advice is that:

either of the results have happened

1. over watered and fed too much

2. two dry , feed has killed the roots of the plant/

2,5 you have water the plant through the top of the plant i.e the feed / water has touched the leaves

3. the plant is in a draughty place/ perhaps too cold of a room
Reply:Hi, I wonder if your plant is receiving enough light now that we are in Autumn when there is shortage of daylight especially with all the dull weather we have had recently.

Also. in my opinion, they do not need so much water at this time of year and not so much feeding.

Reply:Your giving it to much water, and way to much fertiliser. They like to be kept moist, but not wet. They need allot of humidity, and at least 4 hrs. of sun each day. Feed every other month from early spring thru mid- summer. Don't feed them after that. I have mine outside right now and it's doubled in height. Also look around the stem where the leafs start to grow, for Mealy Bugs. Those are whitish cottony looking things . If you have them ,use a cotton swab and rubbing Alcohol to wipe them off. Byee
